I felt as prepared as I could have been, so… well, I went ahead with the reading. As I began to slip into a psychonautic trance, the atmosphere was charged with strange energy. Thankfully, the protective wards held strong, creating a barrier that allowed me to focus without the immediate threat of outside entities interfering. Of course, the Blight’s whispers were still there, but they were at least muted, giving me the space to delve deeper into the remains of the storm.
And… I did it. I connected psychically with the remains of Ringan Storm, Jeanne. It was like reaching out to a storm cloud, something so far away yet present and tangible. And… and we spoke. If you can really call it that; it was more an exchange of emotions and fleeting thoughts. She was confused, lost, but not entirely hostile. It was like speaking to a memory that never truly was, as it slowly unraveled.
I felt her sadness, her frustration, but mostly her longing to be… well… to be. To exist. I don’t think that was entirely her, though. I think that has to be the core emotion the original Owner tied to Jeanne. The wish that she was real, the daughter he lost, came to fruition. I did what I could to calm this deeply troubling emotion, and with time, the energy of her storm dispersed. The air began to feel lighter, and the oppressive weight that was surrounding the Cafe had finally lifted.
However… I can’t help but shake the feeling that she was holding on to something—to someone. I’m not sure if Umbra, or Aka, or maybe even Florida was somehow propping up her existence. Or maybe it’s just her tie to Lucifer? Whatever the actual case is, I don’t think Jeanne can ever truly be removed as long as the thought of her exists somewhere. It’s totally strange, y’know? Usually, tulpas are tied to their creators. Maybe it’s the whole Negative Eight thing that makes her special enough to persist even with the original Owner’s death. I don’t know. But I do know that whatever was left of her in our Cafe is gone for good.
Peace, love, calm, and Joy!
