Put a lid on that Rosie Lee, would ya love? Sources've clocked Robert the Doll schmoozin' 'round Big Daddy’s Deadweight with none other than the Redman. I reckon 'e came to play the Redman’s new game and “won.” Makes sense, to some extent. Whatever black liquid Aka is testin' geezers with is from the Everdark Pits, yeah? And who else is from the Pits? Robert the Doll. Or, well, the Shade that nicked the name Robert and 'as been squattin' in that doll’s body for the better part of a few donkey’s ears.

Shades are nasty business, ain’t they? Weird little creatures born outta the Everdark Pits. Not quite Demons, not quite Cryptids… 'ell, not much of anythin' more than a figment of a fleetin' consciousness. Closest thing we 'ave in real life to ghosts, choice? They ain’t tangible, not on their own, but they’re bleedin' good at “shadin'” inanimate objects and even people. Problem tends to be that shadin' becomes quite addictive for the little buggers. They get attached to their chosen bodies. It becomes such a strong connection that it becomes their lifeline, in a way. If Robert’s main body were to be done in, it’d likely do the Shade in an’ all. Which is why 'e’s gone and commissioned more than 'alf a dozen duplicate and backup bodies. That, and it would get awfully knackering to sit in a glass box day in and day out.

Good news(?), Robert and Rubeus weren’t seen natterin' alone. They’ve got another bloke with 'em. Another one of Aka’s “winners.” My sources weren’t clear on who or what it was beyond some ‘auntaur-bloke. Makes sense as well. Hauntaurs and Shadows are the most likely to be swept up into this Dark scam. Now, I could spend an evenin' or two at the Deadweight but I’m tryin' to be on me best behavior, yeah? Besides, Big Daddy 'imself has been more than helpful in keepin' me filled in on the comings and goings. Just gotta suss out who else they’ve been wetting their whistles with.
