Summary of Receipt

Tudor helps them track down the demon to whom Manager 4 owes his arm to, by making a seeking stone to lead them to it. The CaD will then ensure it’s dead. In exchange, she and 512 will have a private chat for around thirty minutes.

We arrived in the Vile City without a problem. Mrs. Tudor wasn’t able to discern the original owner of my arm. However, she did create a seeker’s stone using its blood so we could track the demon down. We believe the demon in question is somewhere out in Pandemonium. No. 44, and I will be hunting this demon down to pay its tab in full. I feel no pity for the dregs of the Hauntaurskald. These are the remnants of the worse humans in life, so another demon dead is a net positive to me. I intend to make this arm mine. That’s all.

S.O.T.
Mrs. Tudor: Ah! If it isn’t the Elderling. I knew you would be back, darling.
No. 512: Um, hi.
Mrs. Tudor: So, you’ve finally decided to join my family?
No. 512: Uh… not exactly. We need your help with something.
Mrs. Tudor: And you think my help is free?
No. 44: Hello, Mary.
Mrs. Tudor: [No. 44]!
No. 44: I believe you know my help isn’t free either.
Mrs. Tudor: Of-of course. What can I do for you?
No. 4: We want to know who my arm belonged to.
Mrs. Tudor: A demon, by the look of it.
No. 44: Mary.
Mrs. Tudor: Fine, fine, sorry. Let me see your arm, darling.
[Mrs. Tudor took a drop of blood from No. 4’s arm]
Mrs. Tudor: Mmm… I see. I’m sorry, I can’t tell you who this arm once belonged to. Your blood has become too far entwined. Though… why ever would you attach an unknown demon’s arm to yourself?
No. 4: Brent Hearse.
Mrs. Tudor: Ah. That would explain it then, wouldn’t it? I’m surprised this is the first I’ve heard about this. Where did Hearse find this arm?
No. 44: He didn’t. It was sourced by Raum.
Mrs. Tudor: Well, that would do it, wouldn’t it? Raum is a notorious scavenger. I assume they picked this off of a corpse in Pandemonium. Though… clearly not a very dead corpse. Well, if that’ll be all, are we square then, [No. 44]?
No. 44: Square? Oh, no, dear, you misunderstood. I wasn’t here to settle your favor.
Mrs. Tudor: You—ugh. Fine. You know, I could help you find this mystery demon.
No. 44: Hardly worth a favor.
Mrs. Tudor: To you, perhaps, but that clearly won’t be settled today, will it? No—I will craft a seeker’s stone if I can have 30 minutes to speak with the Elderling alone.
No. 512: Deal.
No. 44: Are you sure?
No. 512: Yes. On one condition.
Mrs. Tudor: Oh?
No. 512: I know you’ve had some hand in helping Satan corrupt humans with his blood. I’ll give you 30 minutes of my time, but you have to give me 30 minutes of yours.
Mrs. Tudor: You want me to betray the Dark Prince?
No. 512: Not at all. I just want to talk.
Mrs. Tudor: Hm… alright, I’ll indulge your gossip.
