you know to be honest i was expecting eden to be a little bit more… utopic. i guess i knew that it had long since rotted and corrupted and we got a little taste of that mess when we were looking back at what was but this is… bleakkkk. the air is THICC and acrid… everything smells like brine and rot and it clings to back of our throats whenever we breathe. im certainly hoping this isnt… i dont know… uberultracarcinogenic or anything. the path weve been walking down so far is absolutely tangled in tangled roots and crooked skeletal branches of what im guessing must have been apple trees at some point. OHH!! and omg perfect precious no. 1331 slipped and tried to steady themself on the base of one of the trees but the bark just slid off covering them in this oozing black sap that reeks worse than death. lmao get rekt. thought all you did was hike and junk.
ah oh ye the black tide is here too and its the same as ever. it still churns restlessly its dark oil-like waters thick with eldritch vibez. the crazy part about it being here is that its actually still and calm enough that you can almost sort of see into the depths of the water and theres just a whole host of floating sleeping elders bobbing up and down with the waves. and if you get reallllll close to the shore you can almost hear the whispers of the ancient horrors that lie within. no. 3 has been staying farrrrr away from that mess because could you imagine if charlotte was
a) still alive
b) had something to say???
yikes.
the weirdest part of black eden so far though is that total lack of a sky. up above is just all void. no light no color no wind no clouds nothing. the horizon just seems to collapse into straight up nothingness. we also havent seen all that many protodemons. the plane itself doesn't seem to be THAT large we are even thinking that we can circumnavigate it in a few days… but it does beg the question… where did all of eves creations go once we returned them home??? my personal theory?? theyre underground. Deep underground.
