Ah, beautiful Evergreen. Home of Twilight and Harry and the Hendersons. So… take that how you will. At the very least, it feels pretty nostalgic to be chasing down a supernatural dog that we know nothing about with No. 3 again. Anyway, No. 44B and I arrived without a problem. Though… it is interesting… usually when I warp around an existing portal or tear in the boundary lines, I can sort of “feel it.” I haven’t felt anything like that for our Otherworldly customers. So, I guess that probably confirms that what we’re dealing with is not of the Flip nor Otherside. Well, obviously. But I mean, there’s no tangible connection between them. Which does beg the question, how are these customers getting here?
So far, they’ve just sort of “appeared,” right? And, more importantly, it seems like they started popping up once Lucifer… you know… was exploded. With reverence, boss. But she was… exploded. Do you think that has something to do with these new planes? I mean, Lucifer was a powerful demon, one of the top 7 demons, categorically speaking. And she was also killed by one of the top elders using a type of magic exclusive to him and his cultists. A type of magic specifically known for warping reality. I’m just saying, do you think the Otherworld could be some sort of manifestation of Blight mixed with the last remains of Lucifer’s own magic?
Ah, that’s just speculation, though. I suppose I was tasked with bringing No. 44B here to do some actual research. He’s very proud of his Lludd-exploding bug juice. I think it’s gone to his head, and he now regards himself as some sort of expert on the Otherworld. I suppose if anyone could be an overnight expert on something, it’d probably be him. Oh, also, it really shouldn’t come as any surprise, but this place is swarming with Salt & Pepper. I guess we are in their backyard. But it seems like they’re after Mr. Cowon too. I mean, at this point, word must’ve traveled from IRIS about Mrs. Lludd. Or, more likely, they’ve figured out a way to actually track Otherworldly entities before us. Well, screw them. We have No. 7!
