Puzzle

“A B AB… X -O X -O… Lust Eternal.”
#1313 Trivia | 3 Words

Clue

Hover over the clues if you require!
Clue 1: The first mess of letters is a reference to the band's name. 'Lust Eternal' are the lyrics.
Clue 2: A, B, AB and something else. Sounds familiar?
Clue 3: That's not the only part of blood-type classification. Based on the puzzle, positive or negative?
Clue 4: Is there a band named that? Which of its songs has those lyrics?/span>

Answer and Explanation

Answer: Blood & Fire
Explanation: A, B and AB are all blood types, with the missing one being O. Combined with the '-O', it suggests the blood type O negative. There is a band called 'Type O Negative'; one of their songs, Blood and Fire, has the lyrics 'lust eternal'.

RECEIPT #010
DATE: 5/10/96
EMPLOYEE #1313

S.V. showed up at the Cafe and Diner in really bad shape. I guess she was tricked by the Redman, almost exactly how her brother was tricked. Damn. You’d think she would have known better… but I guess vengeance can really blind you to the obvious. Well, she is literally half-blind, seeing as her left eye is completely messed up. #71 did what he could to stabilize it, but it’s still noticeably red. But it shouldn’t be a threat or anything like that. The Owner said she couldn’t stay at the Cafe, but I figured my parents wouldn’t mind her staying with us for the time being.

S.O.T

#1313: Ugh, someone’s at the door.

#44: A tourist?

#35: At this hour?

#44: Is it still raining…?

#53: It stopped about five minutes ago.

#62: So… we should probably wait then, right?

The Owner: You get nothing by waiting.

#71: You’re really going to open the door to some unknown? At this hour? With this weather?

The Owner: The curiosity would kill me otherwise.

[The Owner opened the Cafe’s door. Waiting outside was S.V. drenched in blood.]

S.V.: P-please… help…

#1313: Sofia? What the hell?

The Owner: Your blood… or…

[The Owner gestured to the sky. Sofia shook her head and parted her hair, revealing a black and red eye, dripping blood.]

The Owner: Oh my. Mon vieil ami… come take look at this.

#71: Bloodshot.

S.V.: It… h-urts…

The Owner: Well, come in. We’ll see what can be done.

#1313: What happened to you?

S.V.: Red… man…

#1313: Yeah, no, got that. How did this happen?

S.V.: A-a…AGH!! PLEASE! MAKE IT STOP!

The Owner: Grab the reserve, vieil ami.

#71: Are you sure? It still might undo the damage in your eye—

The Owner: Like hell it will.

#71: Eh. As you wish.

[#71 retrieved the last vial of Squonk Snot and dropped it into S.V.’s Bloodshot eye. Her sclera returned to white, though her iris remained blood red.]

S.V.: Ah—thank you.

The Owner: We don’t work for free. What happened, and what brought you to our doorstep?

S.V.: I… I don’t know. I thought I had won the Redman’s game. I really did. I thought he was in my service. He helped me rip the Mothman’s wing off. I was going to kill him, but then I thought, if he’s under my control, I could use him. I could—I don’t know. I thought I could make things right before killing him myself. But then, when I tried to call on him again—

The Owner: So, you were tricked. Bloodshot. Shill—are you certain you found the Mothman’s wing?

#53: 100%.

The Owner: Hm… Why would Redman go to such lengths to convince you of your false-victory? Mm… perhaps… no. Well, that must make things rather awkward between them, huh? Regardless… why come here? Surely, your organization is more than capable—

S.V.: They wanted to kill me.

The Owner: Oh?

S.V.: Sam— our Administrator, he tried what he could. A.C. too. But when they couldn't rid me of the Bloodshot, they deemed me a liability. M.R., she said she would “put me down” for the good of the group.

#17: Sam. Sam…?

S.V.: Sorry, I really shouldn’t say.

#17: Sam. Sam. Sam. More than enough to go on.

The Owner: Well, that’s rather bleak, isn’t it?

#71: You wouldn’t do the same?

The Owner: I imagine not… mm… depends on how bad things get. Though, a Bloodshot eye is hardly worth killing over.

S.V.: Can I… stay here? I… I’m worried they’re going to find me and—

The Owner: Absolutely not. Can’t have our direct competition staying in our base of operations unattended.

#35: Yeah, but I’m usually here—and I’ve never seen you leave the place.

The Owner: Not true. I go out.

#26: When?

The Owner: All the time. Still, unattended or attended, it’s too much of a risk.

#1313: She can stay with us, at our house.

The Owner: Sure. Just keep an eye on her and keep her out of the Cafe.

S.V.: [#1313] Are you… sure?

#1313: Of course.
