Much to my own disappointment, the Owner did not recognize the Cafe No Diner’s “Administrator.” I knew I should have gone with him. Perhaps I would have been able to recognize S.G. Oh well. I’m sure we’ll uncover his true identity in due time. Besides, I shouldn’t be too hard on the Owner as he did manage to make quite a few discoveries while he was in the booth opposite S.V. For a first official encounter, it’s at least a half-success, perhaps even a full three-fourths of one?
S.V. wasn’t lying when she said she was recording on her own device. As #62 uncovered earlier, the Cafe No Diner has their own Data Core, not unlike ours. Of course, it is not exactly a Cafe No Diner original, is it? The Owner was able to hijack S.V.’s CAMACom’s signal, which confirmed that they are using the late Dr. Crow’s Data Core for their operations. While I highly doubt Dr. Crow himself is somehow involved in all of this, it does open a potential connection between him and someone among their ranks.
Lastly, through a phreak coincidence, the Owner was able to tap into the CAMACom’s live communication line. Unfortunately, he did not recognize any of the voices, but he took down meticulous notes as always. From what he jotted down, it seems that S.G. was running late to a meeting on Hughes Way. It’s likely this prompted him to excuse himself and S.V. earlier than expected. I’ll see if I can find out who or what he was meeting with on Thursday. However, we do know about one other unsavory connection the Cafe No Diner has. In addition to reminding S.G. about his upcoming meeting, one of the other members apparently had just finished meeting with Mrs. Middletown.
