It looks like the Cafe Channel is working. Awesome! Gives me a bit more freedom to talk about my plans… though to be fair, I’d be surprised if anyone was bothering to listen in anyway. Having the CaDCom Network booted back up is bound to send out some unwanted signals. In fact, I’d be surprised if the Decodex Society hadn’t already caught on that the Cafe and Diner is back in business. Though, I’m guessing that the Cafe and Diner is at the very, very bottom of their list of things to worry about.

On the top of my list of things to worry about is finding some employees! I’ve already got two people in mind. I… probably shouldn’t use their names, even in the Cafe Channel. But I can probably get away with their initials, right? Right! I’m the boss—I can do whatever I want… so long as it doesn’t step on any unwanted toes in the Coffee Trade. Thankfully, like I said earlier, I don’t think anyone particularly cares what we do so long as we stay out of their way.

As for the employees, I was thinking about my friends J.J. and D.R. I wonder if they already know each other? Mm, probably not. Then again, the city of Sunshine is a lot smaller than you’d expect, especially when it comes to the Coffee Trade. Anyway, D.R. is an Othertech genius. She might just be the most Othertech-savvy person on the West Coast. I’m kinda surprised the Society hasn’t scooped her up yet, but… it might be that she just isn’t terribly interested in that line of work. However, a small-time barista gig might be right up her alley!

As for J.J.—uh… yeah. I think it might be nice to have him along for the ride. He’s very good at putting things together and making connections, and he’s super knowledgeable about the coffee trade, way more knowledgeable than me. And he worked for the original Cafe and Diner! Sorta. He was consulted a few times, at least.
