And that’s how it’s done, no? Of course, we had quite a few things going for us—but still, it’s hard to argue with results. El Coco, the Ördög, and La Diablesse have all had their tabs paid in full, and all it took was a touch of classic Agency subterfuge. You remember how the Cafe, before our partnership, would occasionally get hold of a classified document or two? It was always the information we wanted you to have. Similarly, El Coco was planning to deal with Umbra, Ördög with the Redman, and La Diablesse with the Mothman. Naturally, we had different plans.
Umbra is quite powerful—strong enough to take down El Coco, I’d imagine—but so is the Mothman. At the end of the day, a Boogieman, even the oldest and strongest, is no match for a much older Blooded Demon. And all of La Diablesse’s lovely but wretched charms and enchantments to ward off disaster did little to stop the Redman’s gun. That left only Ördög and Umbra. If Umbra could handle El Coco, it’s safe to say Ördög posed no threat to him.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention our secret weapon: another powerful Blooded Demon, Dover. With the help of that strange, bulbous-headed orange creature, we were able to twist and shift the very fabric of reality, making the clash between Satan’s old and new triads quite the spectacle to watch.
With Satan’s minions defeated, his hold over Long Beach has finally been broken. Divisions Whiskey, X-Ray, and a bit of Zulu have come in to clean up the mess. Oddly, though, Satan… never showed up. The Agency was on high alert, ready to face the wrath of a Prince whose Flipside plans had just been shattered. Yet… he wasn’t there. Not at the Open Doors Church, nor anywhere in the Flipside, for that matter.
