Still no sign of the Bandage Man on the road. Man… Cannon Beach sure is… eerie, especially in the autumn. I’m sure the place looks a bit, I don’t know “cheerier” in the summer? Something’s definitely off here. There’s some sorta funk… some sort of bad vibe. It’s hard to explain. New Guy and I have been staking out the road for a day or so now, and we haven’t seen anything yet. Which is odd.
Totally… odd.
We’ve seen nothing, literally. This is a major US Highway, right? There should be at least one or two cards every so often… but we’ve seen no one in the past four or five hours. We haven’t heard any cars going by either. Something is strange in Cannon Beach. We’ll get to the bottom of it.
Also, maybe less weird, but still annoying… there are so many freaking flies! WHY IS IT ALWAYS FLIES?! I was hoping working with you guys would give me a bit of a break from them. They’re swarming everywhere, and it’s awful. Maybe they’re sand fleas? Or… I don’t know. They look like flies. I wish they’d just leave us alone.
At least we’ve got that last Complexity to keep us busy while we wait. Hm… “What you need is at the beginning... and the end. Over, and over, again. I can’t help but shake the feeling we’ve done this all before.” Nothing’s coming to my mind right now. In any case, we’ll keep you updated. New Guy’s been asleep for a while now, so I wouldn’t expect a receipt from him today.

Hello everyone, it is me, New Guy, and well, this is simply very strange! I took a quick nap, ok, yes, it is true, I took a nap on the job, it’s okay because there are two of us and I was so very, very tired. And when there are two employees on one job it is perfectly acceptable for one to stay awake and alert for the Bandage Man while the other gets very comfy cozy and just falls asleep for just a few, A FEW, minutes, ok? And, and, and, so you see, Barista said to me, this is what he said, he said this, he said, “Okay, New Guy, you take a nap and I’ll wake you up in an hour or if anything happens.” BUT IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN AN HOUR! It has been many, MANY, hours! It has been DAYS!! Right now, it looks like it is midnight and Barista is also sleeping. Somehow, we rolled off of the road. I’m not sure what has happened but we I will figure this out! No problem! I will let the Barista sleep for a bit because he must be very, yes very tired after staying awake for so many days. First, I’ll get us back on the road and then see what he said in his receipts.
…
The car is so very, very cozy, and it looks like Barista has decided to take a nap! I think that is a very good idea too for I am also so very cozy and very sleepy. It’s only 2 P.M. so I think a small afternoon nap is good and we will both wake up nice and refreshed and ready to tackle Cannon.
