Summary of Receipt

2213 has been very bored in IRIS. Only 8 (the Third’s 8), Payroll and Manager have been allowed to actually enter the courtroom, so he, Big Guy and H.R. are just chilling outside. Also, other information: Manager stole the Dagger of Zadkiel (angel of mercy) to try and kill Umbra. Unfortunately, Umbra just shattered the Dagger and stole the First Bible - as a last resort, Manager set it on fire.

Well, this is as boring as I expected it to be. It's a whole lot of bureaucracy, procedure, and powdered wigs. Fun. I mean, seeing the inside of the IRIS Company headquarters is pretty cool, though. Lots of marble. So far, most of the trial has been "behind doors," and only the Manager, Payroll, and our 2^3 have been allowed in. But it's been a nice opportunity to catch up with the Big Guy and get to know H.R. a bit better.

According to H.R., she's not really surprised that things got to this point. I guess the Manager has been getting increasingly reckless to match Umbra's increasingly reckless moves. The Manager WAS going to kill Umbra once and for all using the Dagger of Zadkiel. But, obviously, that didn't work, and it ended up shattering Zadkiel's dagger. Then when Umbra had the First Bible in his hands, the Manager chose to light it on fire rather than let Umbra win. Which, yeah, I don't know. From my perspective, he made the right choices. I guess the Angels don't see it that way.

The good news in all of this is that Zadkiel is the Angel of mercy. Big Guy thinks that's why the Manager chose him to steal from. I guess we're going to see how that strategy plays out. Though, I think the main takeaway from all of this is: holy crap, Umbra is HELLA strong. He shattered an Angelic artifact like it was NOTHING. I'm glad he just threw us in an alternate dimension and didn't actually try to fight us. I would not have wanted to go up against that megalomaniac; Crow was enough.
