RECEIPT NOTES:

It’s rather nice to get out of L.A. for a bit, eh? It feels like we’ve been there our whole lives—even though it’s only been a month. San Diego is a welcome change of scenery. The drained husks of goats? Less so. But I suppose that’s just nature, no? Something has to be at the top of the food chain… though it does seem a bit unbalanced for a cryptid to be feasting on Flipside animals. La dame has examined the bite marks, but so far nothing indicates which of the seven—er, six, I suppose—Planes this Chupacabra hails from. I don’t think Chupacabras end up in the Ouroboros, and from what I’ve heard of Belephegor, she’s not much of a dog person. On the other hand… she does have quite a kennel of dogs… but, ah, I’m starting to say too much.

I will say, though, these bite marks are… small. Smaller than I’d expect from an average-sized Chupacabra. It could be a juvenile cryptid, or perhaps just a smaller breed of Otherside hound. At least we know for certain that this customer in San Diego is a Chupacabra—I can’t think of any other Otherside cryptids that would drain a goat like this. Maybe a few demons for ritualistic purposes… but demons don’t typically bite their sacrifices, eh?

Now that we’ve seen where the Chupacabra’s hunting, we’ll need to figure out a way to capture the beast. It shouldn’t require anything too serious, though Chupacabras have a reputation for being slippery. Once we get hold of it, la dame should be more than capable of opening a portal to whichever Plane it belongs to. I think it goes without saying that a simple “catch and release” is well above the duties of a Prince of Hell, no? But that’s exactly why it’s worth doing. Princes… they have a tendency toward “overkill,” yes? It takes a good deal of restraint to simply catch a cryptid dog and send it home in one piece. Both for them, and for… well, the other organizations out there.
