Summary of Receipt

323 finds a strange magic pool ball that seems to answer the actual question. It’s probably from the Otherside. Apparently, this day (Oct. 23rd) is the day of chaos - or Eris. The ball warns to not trust anyone born on this day (17 is, so that's pretty funny). Also, apparently if they find out what Crow’s doing, it’ll be too late to stop him.

CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM 10/23/17
MANAGER 323
RECEIPT: ALLSIGNSPOINTTOWARDS01
STATUS: OPEN
I think the big number already mentioned this, but I found a... something. Something strange. It’s a magic pool ball. You know the one, probably. Black. Bad news if you sink it early. You shake it, and a die answers yes or no questions. That magic pool ball. Except when I shake this one, it seems to have more, uh, responses than would fit on a die. Also, the responses are a bit too, I guess, “on the nose” for the questions I’ve asked. I’m guessing it must be a Canadian toy, but it’s strange that I found it outside my house.

Some examples of questions I’ve asked with answers it has given today:

Q: Will today be a good day?

A: Today is the day of chaos. Do not trust those born to this day.

Q: Do you mean [17]?

A: Outlook cloudy. Ask again later.

Q: Is this toy [Canadian]?

A: As is above is as below.

Q: Is this toy dangerous?

A: Do not be afraid.

Q: Is this toy connected to someone?

A: Ask again later.

Q: Would you answer if I asked again later?

A: Outlook not so good.

Q: Will we find out what [Jedidiah’s is cooking up]?

A: It’d be too late if you did.

And then, after that last question, the die inside the pool ball spun around sort of violently before coming up with a “Goodbye.” And then the die sunk into the liquid, and I haven’t seen it since. I mean, obviously, this toy was made in Canada. I’ve been tempted to crack it open, but that feels like a bad idea. 62 has been giving it a look and so far hasn’t found any obvious signs of Canadian technology in it, but we’re taking precautions. For the time being, we should probably keep this thing in the vault. That, and I’m kinda freaked out with it being at my house.

Well, if anything, happy birthday, 17. Don’t betray us, I guess, haha.
