Summary of Receipt
8, or Payroll, formally announces that Alaric and Daichi - now Cashier and Quality Control - have joined the O.C., with Cashier working to find Duplicity and Daichi trying to ‘look at [their] book scans’ (reference to the Grimoire, probably). She also mentions that with an Angel officially with them, the Court of Heaven probably won’t be too pushy trying to get the Grimoire.

I am happy to announce we have two new permanent employees at the Cafe and Diner: The Cashier and Quality Control. After discussing it with everyone, and with a large push from the Manager, I've decided to hire them both full-time. With two new employees, we shouldn't need to borrow any more Baristas from the Broadway Cafe… which works out as the majority of their staff are unavailable right now anyway. This brings us up to seven employees. And if the past is anything to go by, one more employee would be bad luck.
The Cashier should provide us with some fantastic new insight into how we can leave this darkness behind and enter into the light. The Cashier is also quite adept at navigating the current uncertain legal climate we have found ourselves in. Basically, he adds a nice air of legitimacy to our operations. We didn't steal any sacred texts. We can now say that we borrowed them. And Quality Control is… well, he's a friend of the Manager. I'm sure he'll be able to help, even though I don't know how yet. He was at one point a former IRIS agent, so I'm sure he's quite capable. If anything, I find him to be very amusing.
I'll let them formally introduce themselves later, but I'm sure you'll get well acquainted with them soon enough. It'll take me a day or so to get them fully set up in the CaDCom system, but they should be around the Cafe in the meantime if you want to chit-chat with them. I've put Cashier on our Duplicity issue, and Quality Control is taking a look at our book scans to see if he can make heads or tails of them. Pardon the pun.
