I believe it is time we put an end to this tab, eh? In a way, this really is a receipt gone Dutch between KCR, DDM, and WRF. Though Miss. Crawford has been handled, to the best of our knowledge, and "Mr. Bartlett," well, that is still a mystery. A mystery that will have to remain unsolved for now, seeing as the mysterious lights over Dover have since disappeared. However, one piece of the mystery I believe has been solved. Or, perhaps, it has only further expanded on the mystery of those strange lights and their effects on the coulromycosis.
First and foremost, I know that young No. 2 would like the lights to be extraterrestrial in origin. However, as we all know, we do not park cars. Why? There aren't any to park. We have shaken the Bird's Own hand; I think we would know if there was life among the stars that are not Eldritch in nature. However, that might be it. Eldritch or Elder. When things are stranger than strange, often an Elder is to blame. Could the lights and their subsequent mutational effects be Elder in origin? Possibly, but if this is the case, the lights of Dover left no E, EE, or EEE blood trace. That isn't to say it is impossible, but it might very well be improbable. Enough about the lights, though, for it is hard to speak of what we do not know.
We know, via autopsy, some gruesome details of the "new" strain of coulromycosis, also known as Mrs. Pierott or the Killer Clown Virus. The "original" strain of coulromycosis had one major weakness, the cold. It simply could not thrive below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. At below freezing, it would die entirely. And this is still the case, mind you. These clowns were dead. Yes, I know how terrible, Zombie Clowns are. Frostbitten Zombie Clowns. Our Pathologist has dubbed this new strain "pagocoulromycosis." We'll still refer to it as Pierrot though we'd indicate the difference via Miss if it were to resurface. As, I would think this strain is far, far, more dangerous than the original. Now how did it mutate? And how did it mutate so perfectly to match the circumstances of a weather-controlling Elder? That much remains unknown. It is also unclear if this strain could resurge or if it was only viable due to the influence of either Miss. Crawford or the Dover lights.
Division X-Ray has destroyed all known spores at the site, and we have now disposed of the samples we kept to show to the Pathologist. Did A23 keep some spores? Likely. More than likely. I know Zulu would love to get their hands on something like this. So for that reason, I assume this is not the last we've seen of Miss. Pierrot. Don't hold your breath either, it would be a rather bad look for Astoria if they unleashed a Zombie Apocalypse. For now, I can say this tab is closed.
