Haha… don’t be mad, okay? I might’ve, possibly, picked up a little side job at Flurrdo’s Frozen Treats. To be clear, I’m working double shifts—as a double agent. I haven’t betrayed the Cafe on some whimsical whim to fully unlock my grand potential through ascension or whatever. No, no, no.

I mean… it would be cool, right? If what Sir. Ciel Flurrdo is offering is legit. But I don’t think it is. What I do think is that we need someone on the inside to figure out how he’s whipping up these frozen treats.

So… yeah, I’m in Sacramento right now. Standing outside his pop-up shop under the bridge. About to place an order. We’ll see how it goes. Now, it did cross my mind that Flurrdo might already know who I am. Who I work for. Who my dad is. Who my siblings are. All that razzamatazz. But honestly? I doubt Ciel could pick me out of a lineup. From what Peppy said, and from the general vibe I’ve picked up, he’s super hands-off with his business. Can’t get his hands dirty if he hardly touches anything, right?

Oooo… okay, doors are opening. People are shuffling in. I gotta go. But I’ll let you guys know if I need backup! Oh, and… uh… sorry for kinda picking up a side job at a fast-food joint without telling anyone first—or, you know, asking for permission. I just figured you’d think it was a bad idea. But I think it’s a great idea!

Ah… shoot. Totally forgot my friend was supposed to be coming up to the Cafe to meet with me. He was working here just a bit ago, right? Maybe he’s still on his way. Or maybe I’ll run into him inside!
