### [Date | Nov-13-24] [Barista | Lavender] [Subject | Snow] [File Reference | C-TVS02]

Still no luck getting these shards to do anything besides make our hands numb. Stupid pieces of junk. Indrid Cold made it look so simple—just hold the shard, and then… well, I’m not sure exactly what happened to him, but it seemed like he “switched channels.” Considering what Snow’s all about, that would track, wouldn’t it? But… what does “changing channels” really mean? Do you think these shards somehow allow cross-cycle travel? Or… could they have something to do with the Department’s “Bronze Age”?

I don’t know. What I do know is that there’s emotion tied to these shards—a peculiar, aching feeling. The numbness they radiate feels like sand slipping through my fingers. No matter how tightly I try to hold on, it just keeps slipping away. And there’s this maddening sensation, like a memory lingers here—hovering just out of reach, obscured by the fuzz of TV static. It’s an ache for something absent, paired with an undeniable weight of certainty. And then there’s another emotion… one that isn’t mine. It feels… foreign. It feels…

March 28th, 1962.

They betrayed me. How could they betray me?

I gave them everything—everything. All they had to do was play the game as advertised. But no. They saw through the façade. They saw through the mask. They saw through me. And when they looked into the face of madness, they didn’t blink. Not once. NOT ONCE!

It was so simple. Für Elise. For. Four. Fore. Für. How could I have made it any simpler? I wanted them to win—I did. I really did. This was supposed to be it. The grand finale before I started everything anew.

But they couldn’t answer. They wouldn’t answer. They just sat there. Silent.

So, I had to do it. I had to kill them. I had to kill all of them. The whole cycle. How could I let that failure persist? For. Four. Fore. Für. Stupid how simple it was. And all they had to do was…

…Mm. Sorry. Empathic burst. There’s some… violent and maddening emotions tied to this shard.
