Clue

Hover over the clues if you require!
Clue 1: Ignore L's introduction.
Clue 2: Keep the headings, though - 'Ghost No. 1 - The Apparition' should be your first six words.
Clue 3: Did you remember to count the hyphens and numbers?

Answer and Explanation

Answer: No Big Camera Crews
Explanation: This is book cipher, using C-RRBT04's transcript of the Revised and Reanimated Bardo Thodol, and skipping the introduction - that is to say, starting to count from 'Ghost No. 1' - and counting both the numbers and hyphens as words, with the first number in the puzzle being the word and the second being the character needed.

Alright, I’m back from the Pine Barrens, and here’s what I’ve gathered about our mysterious Achegloom dweller haunting the forest. I’ve got a few conflicting reports—you know how tourists are—but at least it’s something to work with. Strangely enough, the ones who seem to see this ghost the most are young children… which, honestly, just makes it like creepier. One kid’s parents, casual coffee drinkers themselves, even offered to see if their kid could draw a picture of the ghost next time they spot it. We’re still waiting on that, but here’s what I’ve heard so far:

Tourist No. 1 (Elderly man with poor eyesight):

He didn’t see much, but he *felt* something—said there was a horrible crunching noise out in the barrens. The ghost had these yellowish-orangish eyes and seemed to be everywhere at once. He also mentioned a strong smell of rot and decay that followed him all the way home, still clinging to his clothes. Or maybe that’s just him getting older.

Tourist No. 2 (Young girl with a vivid imagination):

This little girl swears she’s been seeing ghosts long before the Achegloom even appeared. She described a massive, terrifying creature with yellow or red eyes and twisted, branch-like limbs. According to her, the ghost called itself “Holland” and tried to coax her deeper into the woods, wanting to “play.” She also claimed it could’ve been “Slenderman” or “The Rake” and that it wanted to make her into a “proxy.” Honestly, I’m not sure how much of that last part I believe.

Tourist No. 3 (Young boy with coffee-drinking parents):

The last report I got was from the parents of a young boy who seems to be the only one able to see this creature which they think might actually be a Bigfoot or other Esterskaldian relative. His parents plan to take him back to the woods to see if they can spot it again, and if they do, they want him to draw a picture of it for us. They’re convinced there’s *something* out there in the woods, at the very least. Hopefully, we’ll get a picture soon that might clear up some of the remaining details!
