Well… I guess it’s time for a monthly recap, whether it feels like it or not! I imagine the rest of you had a more typical month, but for me… I sort of dropped in at the end of it, courtesy of Gleam and the rest of the Orpheus Bureau. Hate them. There’s more to explain about that, but for now, it's nothing too urgent—though it has caused some… interesting side effects. Most notably, the borders across Canada and Mexico have become a bit quirky.

With border security all over the place, we’re seeing some rare faces, like Mr. Dan, popping up, and Mrs. Jejune has returned from Mexico with a Slim Jim Fizz in hand. To complicate things further, Sir. Ciel Flurrdo is setting up shop in Sacramento, and from what Peppermint says, it sounds pretty permanent. Right now, Caramel and Lavender are headed to the 16th Floor in San Francisco to serve Mrs. Jejune. Matcha, with Cherry and Hazelnut’s help, should hopefully get Mr. Dan a nice cup of Green Tea soon. Vanilla is still investigating the mysterious border issues and our missing receipts. Meanwhile, Peppermint is on his way back with further intel on Flurrdo’s Frozen Treats.

And me? Well… I guess I’m just getting caught up like the rest of you! It’s not quite “No Respect,” but I’m hoping this time around, things will brighten up with a little extra Sunshine. [Wow… that feels meta.] Oh! I almost forgot—I wanted to let everyone know that our receipts are being posted publicly for the Cafe and Diner patrons on the Archives website! Don’t worry; you don’t have to do anything differently. I make sure everything you submit is safe and reasonably sane before it goes live. If you want a receipt kept private, just mark the subject as [Private] so I know not to post it! …Immediately… anyway. It is an Archive. I’m… an Archive! Everything gets posted eventually!

Happy Halloween,

Hibiscus
