I… I think you might be onto something, Vanilla. It’s possible that whatever caused the boundary lines to break so spectacularly also messed up the CaDCom System Transfer, which is why all our old receipts got deleted. But I don’t think they’re gone forever. They could be restored—eventually. I made sure to isolate those sections of the database so they won’t get accidentally overwritten. Now, I just have to figure out how to bring them back.
That said, I’ve got my hands full restoring other parts of the CaDCom System. I’d love for you all to see it someday. It’s still a bit of a mess, not quite in a “readable” format yet, but I’m sure you’d enjoy checking it out when it’s done! The good news is that whatever broke the boundary lines didn’t affect the receipts I’ve been working on. Though… in hindsight… no, I don’t think that’s what caused it either. I should probably update you all on that situation too. I don’t want to keep unnecessary secrets from you guys.
It’s possible this all started the other way around. You don’t really know my older sister, but when she helped me with the CaDCom System transfer… it might’ve messed up some of the boundary lines. She did warn me about it. It’s a long story, one I want to fill you in on one day. But! If our current boundary issues are her fault, there’s a chance she’s already working on fixing it.
As for what happened—well, it’s complicated. Really complicated. You’ve heard of the Orpheus Bureau, right? They… they took me. A while ago. It probably doesn’t seem like anything changed on your end—time travel, sorta—but yeah, the head of the Bureau, Gleam, he took me. He used me to go back in time, way back, so he could search for something. I was there for a bit too, but I’m back now. And it seems like I haven’t missed a beat, which is good. I’m really glad everything here is business as usual. But… there’s still a chance that the Nova Elders—Gleam, Patina, Snow, Murmur, and Shiver—could resurface. I’m really hoping they’re stuck in the past for good this time. If they aren’t…
If they aren’t, I’ll deal with it. They’re my problem, not yours, okay?
