I have a few new things to note about Mrs. Morrison. Well, first off, Mrs. Morrison has decided to… speak with me. We’ve known that the Grunches could at least mimic speech since Friday paid us a visit. But now they are able to hold full on conversations. They haven’t been saying anything particularly diverse, just variations on:

“The blood draws near for King Zulu calls us home. Blood pays blood and blood alone. Come forth fire, come forth brimstone. Thirteen years and thirteen regents come as one. Break the bonds that you have spun. His regents draw near, and they will draw fresh blood. Blood and blood alone will paint the portrait of his hellish fear. Paint the portrait hidden deep—hidden deep in Blackwood Keep.”

So, I guess that is something to… look forward to? However, I can’t help but feel like we don’t have the bandwidth to care about some sort of hellish group of “regents,” not when we still need to find the Antekeys. Though I have been searching the manor for a portrait painted in blood. No luck yet, plus 17’s family has many, many paintings. So, if anyone sees a strange portrait in the manor, you should probably let No. 0 or 17 know. And if any of our Augurs can tie these rhyming words to the threads of Fate, that could also be helpful.

The other perhaps more interesting development in all of this is that the Grunches' blood sample has changed. Evolved? I’m… not sure… It’s not something blood samples are supposed to do. Being static is what makes them useful fingerprints of Otherside cryptids and demons. Mrs. Morrison has started developing an elevated “E” reading alongside a rising Mayda reading. Out of curiosity, I compared it against a sample we got from Mrs. Ogeron, and they seem similar. It’s almost as if the Grunches are a quarter Finfolk. It’s nothing I’ve ever seen before.
