O-kay. That seems to have done the trick. Leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, but black coffee always does.

So, I guess everything’s… “gone” now. My bad. Sorry, gang. I know we’ve been working our butts off these past four years, but merging a new CaDCom system can get a little… messy. Thank goodness my sister was here to help straighten things out—she’s great at that! Wish I saw her more, but she’s a pretty busy lady. So, yeah… no receipts from 2020 till now. Even yesterday seems to be gone. Well… I’d like to think of it as a clean slate! A very clean slate. Today marks the start of it all, all over again.

Not that we really needed those old receipts anyway. We remember what happened—mostly—and whatever we’ve forgotten probably wasn’t worth keeping track of anyway. Besides, some of you made… interesting choices in those early receipts. Glad we grew out of that awkward phase. Anyway, moving on to business as usual!

Now, rumor has it Sir. Ciel Flurrdo’s in town. Well, he’s in the States, at least. I heard he’s in Sacramento for the moment. Seems like Sir. Flurrdo’s got it in his head to start a restaurant, maybe even a fast-food joint. Lovely. Just what we needed, another fast-food joint clogging our arteries and, more importantly, poaching our business. I don’t know exactly what he plans to serve out there, but I have my suspicions. And honestly? Sir. Flurrdo messing around in the U.S. fast food game puts a serious pit in my stomach.

Pep and I are heading down there tomorrow to see if we can get a sense of what’s up. We’ll try to keep a low profile, though; I’d hate for him to get antsy for coffee we haven’t brewed yet.
