DINER RECEIPT
RECEIPT NUMBER: CCAD02
RECEIPT DATE: 9 3 19XX
MANAGER TITLE: TRUSTED ASSOCIATE
RECEIPT NOTES:

I’ve only known you for a few years, nouvel ami, but in that time, I’ve never pegged you for much of a perfectionist, eh? Aren’t you the one always going on about “half-successes?” I can’t quite wrap my head around how you can so boldly tell la dame that accidents are bound to happen in this trade, while also insisting that every detail must be perfect before we can open. I trust there’s more to your… shall I say… “erratic” nature regarding the Cafe and Diner, yes? Some unspoken secret tearing you apart. And that’s a feeling I know all too well.

But—nouvel ami—what harm is there in hiring a few employees now? As you’ve said, there’s still plenty left to do before we’re fully ready. We need more equipment, for one. The Cafe is rather bare at the moment. And for that, we’ll need an expert in Canadian technology, no? Perhaps we’ll also need an expert on Canadians themselves. Not to mention hiring an “assistant” of sorts—someone who knows everyone. We’ll need someone to mix drinks. Ah, well… we’ll need quite a bit of help is what I am getting at.

As I’ve mentioned before—and will mention again—I have a few ideas on potential hires. A few names floating around. Perhaps… twenty or so. Though, I know you’d hardly go for a Cafe of that size—at least, not to start. So, I’ll whittle my list down to the best three, yes? Three, plus three—that makes six, leaving room for you to pick two from your list for a nice, round… number after seven, no?
