I fear that even with the Cafe’s very own Gadyen digging through the Court’s files, there won’t be anything there to stop El Coco. If the Court could’ve put an end to this nightmarish Boogieman, they would have by now, no? At this point, her contract must be nothing more than a blank check to do as she pleases. In fact, I’d argue El Coco’s more akin to a blooded demon than a Boogieman now. Ah, but there’s an idea, isn’t there? Blooded demons. Boogiemen. And maybe a sinister shadow tying them all together?
We’re in a unique position here—having the Hatman himself on our side, not to mention the Mothman and the Redman through their connection to No. 116. Perhaps it’s time to cash in on those favors and see which of Satan’s Triads is truly the superior one. I suspect making that request would end our fragile partnership, but it was never something that could last, right? Besides, it’d keep our hands clean, and I doubt anyone’s expecting an all-out fight with the harbinger of disasters, the blood-red warrior monk, and the mystic master of the astral and beyond.
It’d be unwise to lay out too much of my plan here, but you get the idea, no? Three against three. As I see it, Umbra should be more than capable of handling Cece. Aka can definitely outfight Janos. And Fitch? She’s no match for Pleasant. Of course, nou nan traka with No. 116 stuck out in Eden right now, and without him, there’s no easy way to reach the Redman. I’d say we’re not in a rush to settle this, but we are. Still, the Long Island Cafe should be back san pran souf.
