To settle Miss Janos’ tab in full, or at least as much as we can manage, we’ll need quite a few skilled servers. I’ve been coordinating with Manager No. 4 to reassemble his old team from the early days of the Fourth Cafe. With Seth Warren no longer with us, that really only leaves No. 116 and No. 611. Naturally, both are busy with the Daiquiri-drinkers in New York and abroad. However, through the grapevine, I’ve heard that the focus has shifted from serving them to containing them. Tides are coming in, I suppose.

Taking Seth’s place, as fate would have it, is No. 26. Our current No. 26 is more than capable of handling Miss Janos and will be a valuable addition to No. 4’s team. I’ve made a few calls to see if I could muster up any additional reinforcements, but once again, my well has run dry. Am I losing my touch? My mind, perhaps? Regardless, even the usual Astorians are tied up at the moment, as Alfa has put all the foot soldiers on ensuring that No. VI and No. VII’s second big shift goes off without a hitch. Afterwards, I imagine they’ll be on cleanup duty—or perhaps there’s been a backlog brewing at the Lighthouse.

Miss Janos, despite her rather intimidating “Miss” status, is, as No. 1 mentioned, the least concerning of the three. Under normal circumstances, I might even consider her a “Mrs.” The issue lies with her associations—though, I cannot fault someone for the strength of their connections. The same could likely be said for Miss Fitch as well. Miss Cece, however… she has earned her status as “Miss” and is the most troubling of the three. Then again, the Cafe seems to have taken out the other regents largely by happenstance. Maybe Padre’s Dancers have truly lost their step?
