Far away from Eden, Eve sat in a small white room, all alone. No Adam. No Hope. No dandelions. Nothing. Just white walls, a white ceiling, and a white door. A door that would not budge no matter how hard Eve tried to open it. She was trapped. And Eden? Her Utopia? It must have been gone. Eve could no longer remember what it had looked like. ...Had it ever even existed? As the hours ticked by and slowly melted into one another, Eve began to forget everything.

Then the door to the small white room opened, and in walked an Archon dressed in resplendent white. Demiurge.

"Welcome home, Eve."

Eve looked around the empty room, still dazed. "Home?"

"Yes. Home. It's… not much, I know. But it's safe."

"…What happened to Eden? To… to…"

"I am so sorry, Eve. You don't remember, do you?"

Eve shook her head. The last echoes of Hope faded away. Demiurge placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "That's okay. Probably for the best. There was… there has been some outside influence. Do you remember House Gelid?"

House Gelid… the name was familiar… yet hollow. It was one of the Great Houses of Entropy, Eve remembered that much. The name alone clued her in more than anything. But when she searched for answers, all that came was a sense of numb dread and pinpricks of fear. Eve nodded, and Demiurge continued.

"House Gelid, they… well… It's… It's not important, Eve. I've dealt with it. The Gelids have been taken care of. You're safe now. And you will remain that way. This place… this room will protect you from anything."

"I can't leave?"

"You can. I just—I think you should stay. Just for a little while. To be safe. It's okay. You'll have me, and I can keep you company. You won't ever be alone. I promise." Demiurge offered a hand to Eve, but she didn't take it. Demi is lying to me.

"Where… Where is Abraxas?"

"Ah! Abraxas. Of course. Until I can figure out how to restore your Utopia, you can help with his. That would be wonderful. He'll—He'll be good for you." Demiurge waved his hand, and suddenly Abraxas was there beside them.

"Abraxas!" Eve cried out. She threw her arms around him and held him close, taking a moment to look around at where they were. The room had changed. It was no longer white. Now it was a small, cozy cabin in a lush green forest. Eve looked back to Abraxas.

"My dear, Eve! How lovely to see you again. It has been so very long. I trust you are well?"

"I—I'm not sure," Eve said, her voice soft.

"Yes…" Abraxas replied with a hint of sorrow. "Well, come. You have much of the Skald to see!"
