Knowledge | 1 Word

Clue

Hover over the clues if you require!
Clue 1: Comparing the Third Cafe to the Other Cafe, at least.
Clue 2: How many people are there in the Third Cafe vs the Other? Incidentally, you don't even need to care about the timeline - the total number of members of both Cafes also works.
Clue 3: 15-4; or 18-7. Either one.

Answer and Explanation

Answer: Eleven
Explanation: At this point in time, there are 15 members of the Third Cafe and 4 members of the Other Cafe. The difference, therefore, is Eleven.

Spent some time meeting the Palm Beach Crew—the "proper" Third Cafe. They've got us beat in numbers nearly three-fold. If Big Guy could just… if he could just forgive me, I don't see why we couldn't have him join up with us again. Their 8 even admitted they haven't been up to much since the whole Black Tide affair a few months ago. Oh, also, keeping the whole split 8 and talking Frogman a bit of a secret. I trust 'em, I do, but it's better to keep some of our trade secrets intact.

S.O.T.

Manager: So… you must be Eight. Charmed.

8: Likewise. And you are… well, you also have some piece of the Mantle, right?

Manager: Hm? Oh—no. No, no, no—we've got our own Eight back in Florida running things, proper. I'm just a foot soldier. No need for fancy numbers.

35: And you know 26?

Manager: Oh yes, we go way back.

3311: Well, well, well—I heard you were in town.

Manager: Ugh—Seriously? Pilgrim? You work here?

3311: Don't go by "Pilgrim" anymore, partner. Or, should I say "ex"-partner.

35: You two dated?

3311: Hell no!

Manager: No. We worked together a few years back. Back when I was in Iris and Pil—what's your number?

3311: Thirty-three eleven.

Manager: —And when thirty-three elven was in November.

3311: Mighty funny, we both ended up at Cafe's, ain't it? Though—I'd have figured you'd still be on probation for that little stunt you pulled back in San Fran.

Manager: I was. I quit.

3311: Damn. Florida must be in right dire straights if they'd take a washed-up warlock like you.

26: It is.

Manager: Big Guy! I…

26: Save it. Where is…?

Manager: …Taking a dip.

26: And he…?

Manager: Yep. For now. By order of our Eight.

26: …I see.

35: So… what's the deal with the Florida Cafe, anyway?

Manager: Trying to put a stop to the Dark.

8: The Dark?

Manager: The Hatman, Redman, and Mothman have been getting together along with some of the nastiest customers out there. They're trying to find something called the "Enochian Bible," choice? It's—if it's even real—it's like a guidebook to the Universe. With it, Umbra the Hatman could do a lot of damage. What've you lot been up to?

8: Not much, really. Not since, well, not since we were in Florida.

Manager: Izzat, so? Were you in Florida? Small world. What were you doing there?

8: …Serving coffee. Same as usual.

Manager: Right. That's how it goes. So—Mothman, he's one of "ours," as it were.

26: I caught him.

Manager: Yes—and the funny thing about that is…

26: No.

Manager: Please.

26: No. You can stay until we find out what Pleasant has been up to. Then, you need to go back to Florida. We'll keep Pleasant here.

Manager: You really think you lot can contain THE Mothman?

26: Better than you could.
