While Team 3 is exploring the “dead-end” of our Ichor Distribution Center in Quebec and, the rest of Team 2 is curing a rather “deadly” hangover with some classic Corpse Revivers… I can’t help but have death on my mind. It’s no secret that death and I… might not be on speaking terms right now. Still, as far as any of us know, I guess—well, I guess I am dead—in a way. It’s tough to talk about. Not because I’m uncomfortable!! More, I’m not sure how to phrase any of this properly for the Diner. Still, I’ll try my best! I didn’t think this needed to be in the Cafe. Not yet, anyway.

So, Team 2, which I am a part of—is headed to our Corpse Reviver Distribution Center. They did ask if I wanted to tag along, but No. 5 was worried that my unique circumstances might make me… unwanted? Or, at the very least, he couldn’t guarantee I’d be able to leave safely. In fact, it’s not entirely clear where I can or can’t go. Even before the pandemic, Canadians never really welcomed Americans into their country with open arms. Hanging around in Canada for too long—well… It’s a one-way ticket to getting stuck there. And even when you do manage to escape… you rarely come back the same.

I mean, look at No. 26. He was trapped there for a few months but managed to make his way back… but he’s not the same. Likewise, I think… hmm… I think, at least on some level, be it physical, spiritual, or otherwise, I also went up North. Back in Hollywood, I mean. And like No. 26, I managed to come back, albeit much less of my own accord, and I also became… augmented. Changed. I don’t know… I think I might need to work some of these thoughts out in the Cafe, but I just wanted to let everyone know that’s how I’ll be keeping busy while everyone else deals with death in their own ways!
