This hotel certainly crawls with Otherworldly royalty. Staying in Room 109, next to Odin, seems to be Princess Takiyasha. Unlike Odin, however, she actually has full control over where her memory and thoughts flutter, so she remembers me from when we met briefly in Japan. She claims she was brought to La Sonim Hotel by a rather shifty Tanuki, who alerted her to the presence of the Thunderbolt fragment here. While she couldn’t say why Odin might want the Antekey, she believes securing it may restore the missing light in her own Plane and perhaps pave a path back to the Kami.
I guess she is under the assumption that if her Antekey, the Chōchin, brings enough light for the Procession of 1,000 Yokai, perhaps another Antekey could further illuminate Nightmarch. Takiyasha wasn’t really in the mood to discuss what exactly happened to Nightmarch to cause it to fall into darkness and mist; she did mention that there were at least two other regions now lost in the darkness—the realm of Oni and the realm of Kami. While the mysterious Tanuki who led her here was partially right, the Thunderbolt is here… still, Takiyasha feels like she was tricked. I’m guessing Mr. Pike and the Tanuki were both Miss. Guile in disguise.
In other news, while time seems to be working in strange ways here, our CaDComs seem to still be partially connected to the CaDCom Database. I got word from No. 4 that Miss. Ojai has been around the Open Doors Cafe and even attempted to kill one of our own. I… I am glad I’m not there. I don’t know if I would have the strength to face him again. Not after the last time. No. 4 asked if they could go ahead with killing him, and honestly? I thought he was already dead, so I don’t see why not. Things won’t ever be the same, so why bother?
