OKAY, IT’S OFFICIALLY GO TIME. IT’S HAPPENING.
We just put together who the Sunkenman is and what he wants, and now we find out that he has his own cult of Finfolk, and THEY were the ones who have the Pearl of Poseidon, which I guess can be used to open the Black Tide?! WHAT!? That is not good. That is really, really not good. All of the Managers, minus No. 2, rushed off to the Finfolk Caverns to stop the Sunkenman before he could crack open the Tide. We were all going to go, but the Managers figured it’d be quicker for them to go without us (rude) and that if the coffee boils over, we need to be ready to deal with it here (sensible, I guess).
SO NOW WE ARE ALL JUST SITTING HERE DOING NOTHING!!! I’m not panicking, you’re panicking. Holllly crap. This could go so, so bad. THIS! This is why Shaka has been coming here every 13 years to stop the Grunches and to slay the Sunkenman. If he didn’t, the Sunkenman would have found a way to break up the Tide and free the Pale. For those who don’t know, the Pale is the whole reason we A) Have the Black Tide in the first place and B) Aren’t enslaved by uncaring, unfeeling, eldritch horrors. Well, besides God and His Angels. Which is… I want to say different, but I don’t entirely think that’s true. But between God and the Pale, I think I would rather take God if I’m being honest.
So, if I’ve got this all straight, The Finfolk are children of the Pale (it has tons of kids, most of which are in the Black Tide with it). Leviathan let the Finfolk out of the Black Tide for some reason. The Sunkenman is also a child of the Pale, so half-sibling to the Finfolk. The Sunkenman has somehow convinced a good half of the Finfolk to help him unseal the Tide to let the Pale back out, and now, with the Antekey, he might actually be able to do it?!?
AGHHHH!!! I HATE JUST SITTING AROUND!
