Yes, Redman and Hatman are quite the considerable foes, eh? Though they are hardly invulnerable. Even the Hatman could have his tab paid in full, though that is much more effort than it is worth. Despite Redman being a particularly strong Boogieman, he is still just another common—and quite killable—demon. Honestly, if you ask me, the core of Redman’s strength is not his own; it is, in fact, only his association with the Hatman. Yes, his power to control and stalk his victims is intimidating, but one good strike is all it would take to put an end to him once and for all.

The challenge then is dealing with the Hatman long enough for us to kill his loyal servant. As #17 already mentioned, the Hatman’s only known weakness is being in a space devoid of light or being scattered temporarily by a bright concentration of light. I believe there is a third option. While not as ideal as fully diffusing his body or temporarily breaking it apart by force, we could ensure our confrontation with the two happens right at dusk when the light should be at its weakest. Hatman will still be a threat, yes, but he will be as weak as we can get him.

Alternatively, just as I warded the Cafe against the Hatman, I could ward the battlefield should we be able to choose it in advance. Sableblood is rare but not impossible to come by. Speaking of “where,” the Owner believes it is in our best interest to keep any major conflicts away from the Cafe itself. It is the primary reason he forbade our guest from staying with us. Likewise, the Redman and Hatman may be strong… but the twins’ parents are no slouches, eh? As faithful servants of Lord Satan themselves, it would be considered bad manners to attack a guest of their home.
