Subject: The Daggers

Seriously? What, do the Daggers always know the ideal moment to twist the knife in our sides? Well, yeah, I guess they would, wouldn’t they? A perk of being interdimensional… can I say douchebags? Huh. I guess so. You learn something new about the CaDCom every day, I guess. Has anyone else noticed that it seems to be… I don’t know. Working differently? I guess this is a “new” CaDCom… sorta. It’s just the series 4 that has a “Z” sticker, which has since been haphazardly peeled off. However, I don’t feel like a sticker would do all of… this. I guess maybe that Blackwood girl did something to it. I don’t know. I’m getting off track.

The Daggers. Interdimensional Douchebags. To be fair, I haven’t really had all that much interaction with them myself. They showed up while most of my Cafe were taking a Dive abroad. Though I’m well aware of their poaching of Ashlyn and Miranda—and then attempting to sabotage our return and also setting Miss. Masoch on Julia. Well… in hindsight, they were probably trying to set Miss. Masoch on Lucy. Masoch just happened to fixate on the nearest Morningstar. Still, setting up the explosive death of Lucy is arguably a pretty horrible thing to do, but I guess it was just another manic Monday for the Daggers.

And now they’ve not only kidnapped an old lady, but they somehow got Warden in their clutches. By my count, that’s now three of my employees they’ve got their blades in. That’s three too many. Apparently, Nine had a meeting with “Oxblood” back in the summer. He said it was more or less the standard threats from the Daggers to keep the Society out of their business—except this time they seemed especially serious. I guess it’s a good sign that things might finally be coming to an end.

The good news is we aren’t the Society and can, and should, poke our noses in their business. For Warden, for Doris, for Julia, and hell, for Lucy, too.
