Inside that receipt, it is mentioned that there was a previous ‘system host’ before it latched onto the CaDComs. From the puzzle’s answer, it can be inferred that this was called the Corvus Operating System.

Alright, I’ve made some progress on fixing what I can from the Cafe No Diner’s ZOTZ System. Nothing major yet, but I believe I’ve got most of the architecture back in place. Of course, most of it is encrypted, but from what I can tell, there are six sections in the ZOTZ. Unfortunately, they aren’t named, at least not in plain text. From here, it’ll probably take a bit of decryption effort to get any further, though I’m pretty sure #44 is up to the task on that.
What I have been able to piece together is that the Cafe No Diner has been operating in Long Beach since 1995. I’m not entirely clear on the precise date, but most signs point to it being later in the year… possibly around August or September. I might be drawing connections where there aren’t any, but it is interesting that they seem to have popped up around the same time as Padre began peddling coffee out of the Open Doors Church. Another general oddity is that it took us so long to notice their presence, but I’m guessing they haven’t really done much up until their attempt to hijack the Astorian’s pyramid portal.
The only other notable thing I found in the jumble of hex code was what looked to be some of the same Othertech systems utilized by Dr. Crow. Up until now, we’ve just assumed that the Cafe No Diner has been running entirely on Flipside technology. Though there is clearly a backend hook into the CORVUS system. I’m not sure why that is, but it could also indicate that what we have on this floppy disk is just the very tip of a much, much deeper iceberg. If the Cafe No Diner actually has access to the CORVUS system… then there could be more than just megabytes of data… there could be gigabytes… terabytes even.
