Summary of Receipt

71 figures out what Pleasant is trying to do. Pleasant’s flying around to make a psychic sigil, which is definitely not good. The CaD plans to take Trigano’s feathers and put them at the sigil’s ‘focal points’ which will apparently stop the sigil from doing whatever it’s trying to do. They’ll also need to know when Pleasant is trying to activate the sigil, presumably on Friday.

I think I’ve finally pieced together Mrs. Pleasant’s sinister plot. While I am still unclear on the finer details, I think I see now what she has been up to. She’s been flying over very specific areas to create a psychic-sigil of sorts in an M-shaped pattern over Los Angeles. I can’t say for certain what this sigil will do, but the design is reminiscent of wings. Perhaps this is how Pleasant causes her disasters? It would explain her previously reported behavior. In any case, if it is indeed some sort of psychic-sigil, we’ll need two things to stop it. One, we need to know when Pleasant will attempt to “cast” it. And two, we’ll need some sort of counter-measure at each focal point. Lucky for us, I have just the thing. Mr. Trigano’s feathers. If we can each take a feather to the five focal spots, that should either weaken or cancel Pleasant’s casting entirely. Of course, the more accurate we can be with our placement, the better, but even just being relatively close to the focal spots with Trigano’s feathers, it should, at the very least, weaken her disaster.

I’ll need to get the feathers ready for this, and thankfully we’ll have a few left to spare. Also, of course, we need to know when this will be happing. Thanks to Mr. Cold’s cryptic words, I’d guess the casting will go down on Friday. Not sure what time yet, but hm... knowing Pleasant and knowing moths in general, it’ll have to be after the sun sets. If I’m right, we won’t have to actually do anything except be near the focal spots with feathers in hand when it goes down, so we might as well just stake out after the sunsets. 17 will take Newport near Crystal Cove, the new kids will take the Santa Ana Zoo, 53 will take south Anaheim, 26 will take Huntington, and the Owner and I will take Costa Mesa, which I believe is the central point where Mrs. Pleasant will actively be. I can’t guarantee I’m right or that this will work, but it’s better than just letting whatever might happen, happen.
