Just got orders from the top. Well, "orders." I like to think of them as more of requests. Astrid knows we work best when left to our own devices, so she's never been too strict with Division Ampersand. Especially now that Division Zulu is out of the picture, I've gotten the vibe that Astrid is hoping to replace their former laissez-faire, devil-may-care, do what it takes off the records Division with Ampersand. And as the Fateless Fate would have it, her most recent request aligns well with our current goals anyway, so we might as well take the Agency's intel on this one.

Astrid, and surprisingly Viktor, Hachiro, and Jordan, too, would like for us to find and rescue one of the Sacred Hall of Bingo's captives: Ms. Doris O'Neal, the prophetic bingo biddy. I'm not sure how aware you all are of her, as the Agency was quick to scrub her from all news sites and the greater internet at large. The quick rundown is that she's some 80-year-old lady who started attending the Sacred Hall of Bingo's public games. After a few cards, she started winning. More than winning, she seemed to know exactly which cards to pick to win. Eventually, her powers of premonition went past picking out winning bingo cards, and she started spouting off prophetic warnings with uncanny accuracy.

Now, while Fate may be dead, the threads of Fate are still very much woven throughout the Universe. The Agency believes Doris O'Neal was a latent Augur. An Augur whose powers practically exploded out of nowhere and possibly surpassed even that of the Doomsday Dog. Having their own sort of "mini-Fate" certainly helps the Bingo Cult call the balls before they're picked, so they took her. It's unclear if the Bingo Cult did something to her to force her powers to develop or if they just lucked into her showing up at their games when she did. But knowing them? They never leave anything to mere chance.
