‘Sup coffee nerds. You know, I’ve been thinking, why should Travis get to have all the fun? Sure, I can fully accept that I am not capable enough to run ops with Nick, Jenni, and Dan. They’re pros for a reason. And yes, I have no clue what any of the research Jericho, Daichi, and Ranoma (<3) have been working on means. But can I shoot things? Yes. Even Yankees are fully trained in tactical combat and marksmanship. I have—no. I was going to say I have the same training as Travis, but that probably isn’t true, is it? There are still quite a few letters between N and T, and he joined November when he was still in his teens.

But can I shoot things? YES! And I’m pretty good at it, too. Yeah, “Protodemons” are probably a bit above what I was actually trained to do, but I’m positive Travis could use someone to watch his back. Plus, if you’re going to be cutting into our cross-country road trip, then I expect to still see some pretty cool things. And nothing is cooler than the weird, twisted Black Thorn full of strange creatures, sleeping Elders, and horrors beyond imagination, is there? I mean, yeah, I’ve seen it. I’ve been there before. But it’s not like I haven’t been to a lot of the national parks before either—it’s the people you’re with that make the memories special.

Now, it goes without saying that Jennybean is a total wimp. Womp, womp. But it’s okay to be a wimp because someone has to stay with the bravest, most courageous, and dare I say, most handsome employee, Mr. Loveland. While, yes, bringing Mr. Loveland along would almost guarantee our victory because he is SO strong and SO brave, the usual “Ranoma-Protocol” is in effect. The little guy stays here. However, someone’s gotta hang out with him because of his tendency to just wander off when left alone. What good is finding Joy if we end up losing Loveland in the process?
