Well, doesn’t this feel like old times? It’s been a while since I was relegated to “swing the House by” duty. You know, I can’t help but feel like we use the House as a crutch more often than not. Then again, it’s hard to argue with an interdimensional piece of real estate. Assuming Sahir’s meeting with Lilith goes well, the plan is to hop into the Black Thorn this coming Tuesday with the plan to have the House swing by on Wednesday to pull everyone and Joy back out.
We’ve got a bit of leeway on what is and isn’t considered “Wednesday” due to how far down the Black Thorn is. Assuming Zach’s cosmological calculations are correct, anyhow. We should have a sort of “pocket,” which to us will feel like 52 or so hours starting at midnight on Tuesday. That should be plenty of time to find and secure Joy. This’ll certainly be up there with the crazier Halloween parties we’ve thrown in the past.
Ah—an important detail I almost forgot to mention. For whatever reason, the House seems to be… very responsive to Eve’s whims. She was able to crawl her way in to kill Julius, and we can’t risk that happening again once we have Joy. So, Ned and Travis have helped set up “spider traps” in the most likely cracks she might crawl through. Of course, Eve isn’t exactly… killable. At least, I don’t think she is. But they’ve assured me that this’ll be enough to at least daze her long enough to let me set the House down—in Heaven if need be. The Angel is working out those details and permits with Uriel, but if I can land the House in the holiest of holy grounds, there’s a good chance Eve won’t be able to follow us.
