I suppose burning their operations to the ground would not truly stop them. Part of me was hoping it wouldn’t have. While I don’t like the idea of a faux-Cafe and Diner running around potentially diluting our brand… I couldn’t stomach being the sole decider of their fate. I am still unsure how I let such envy overcome me. It was almost as if I wasn’t myself. In fact, I have stayed far away from their operations in case I lost myself to that madness again. However, the world continues to spin, the coffee continues to brew, and we can’t let ourselves fall behind our lessers, can we?
In my fit of mania, I briefly mentioned that I had read all of the Cafe No Diner’s files before burning them to the ground. As mentioned, there is nothing we didn’t already know. However, there was one detail I probably should mention. I know all of their names. Or initials, really. Like us, they are smart enough to stay away from putting their full names on receipts. From what I saw, S.G. is their “Owner,” and he is accompanied by S.V., M.R., A.C., and P.B. So, there are five members of the Cafe No Diner in total. Of course, I have a nearly endless number of connections with all of those initials, which gets us nowhere.
And while their Huntington Beach operation went up in flames, it would seem that they’ve relocated to Anaheim. Right upon our doorstep, so to speak, anyway. Now, we need to decide what to do with this information. Should we continue to treat them as our friends? Or perhaps we could ally ourselves with them instead? After what I did, I doubt they would take too kindly to our assistance. Another option is to simply leave them to their own devices and see what they can do. However—I am still concerned with how they made the Abigail connection. Not envious, not anymore, but concerned, nonetheless.
