Summary of Receipt

Division November couldn't track down the other Sebitti, though that's no surprise. The Hyperion Cult is also called the Cult of the Dying Sun. It's led by Fenrir, and seems to consist mainly of remnants of the Wicked's own cults. It's likely their new patron is the Sebitti, or even their parent, the Pale. Alternatively they could worship Eve or the Devil, while the last surviving Cold Elders - Bird and Secret - are unlikely.

Well, November has come up empty in regard to the other six Sebitti. That’s not terribly surprising. There is a reason the Freezer only had one in storage. The other six are known to be rather elusive. I’m hoping that November and the Freezer’s inability to find the other six means the Hyperion Cult also has no idea where they might be. That’d be helpful, at least. Speaking of the Hyperion Cult, Capgras was kind enough to provide me with a helpful little dossier on them. Or at least what Capgras was able to find out about them. Seems like they’re a pretty new cult built upon some older ideas.

So, the Hyperion Cult, also known as the Cult of the Dying Sun, is a new cult that popped up around late March of this year in Santa Clarita, California. Their leader is known as Fenrir, almost certainly named after the sun-eating wolf of Norse mythology. It seems like a lot of the Hyperion Cult is based upon the foundations of the Cults of the Eternal Flame. Of course, most of those cults went up in flames, literally, in the mid-2000s. The last remaining cults were officially snuffed out around February of this year after the death of their patron, the Wicked. So, it would seem the Hyperion Cult is some sort of offshoot comprised primarily of ex-Flame cultists.

Without the Wicked, they would probably need another patron to venerate, which might be the Sebitti? Though if the Sebitti are truly the children of the Pale, it could also be the Pale. Though there have been no signs the Pale has escaped from Black Eden. Other possible patrons could be Eve or the Devil. As far as other known surviving Cold Elders go, God and Secret seem unlikely. Not that there haven’t been quite a few cults dedicated to God, but this just doesn’t seem to be one of them. As for Secret, well, I would hope Capgras and Twain would be able to figure out if the Hyperion Cult was worshipping him.

In any case, knowing that they are located in Santa Clarita, California, I’ll be making a trip tomorrow with a few Novembers to retrieve the Sebitti from the Hyperions.
