Summary of Receipt

125, 134 and 225 don't notice anything out of the ordinary, but 125 thinks that makes sense - it's not like an eclipse should change already-dead flies, and its possible 224 just cancelled any magic disturbances out subconsciously.

CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT FROM */21/17
MANAGER 125
RECEIPT: FESTERINGFLIES05
STATUS: OPEN

That was underwhelming. I mean, I guess the eclipse was cool or whatever, but nothing supernatural or paranormal happened. At least as far as any of us could tell. There was no sudden increase or even decrease in flies in the area. 134 said the corpse-soul-whatever was the exact same before, during, and after the eclipse. And 224 said that she didn’t feel anything shift, bend, or break in the fields of magic. Again, you’d think there’d be at least a rumble or something. Though I might have a few ideas why this isn’t the case.

As for 134’s weird dead fly fireballs, I don’t see why an eclipse should change that. The flies somehow ingested a certain amount of soul energy before the eclipse, so I don’t see why the eclipse would have changed how much they ate. The same goes for 134’s tests post-eclipse. Why would that change the state of these flies? At most, I would have expected a sudden increase in how many flies were buzzing around, but that’s sort of it. Oh, and still no signs of “Mr. Diptera,” our mysterious unknown maker or distributor of flies.

Now, for 224. Her whole “thing,” as far as I can tell, is that she can manipulate magical energies. So… I’m wondering if there were any changes in the field of magic. What if 224 unconsciously canceled them out? I mean, when 224’s magic gets out of control, it gets out of freaking control. It’s like a cascading effect or some sort of negative resonance. So, it’d make sense to me at least that she would unconsciously try to prevent disturbances in the fields of magic by altering the flow of magic around her to be normal and consistent. This… does mean we might be canceling any of the eclipse weirdness by mistake. So, we’re going to drive back to the Cafe and regroup there. Hopefully, nothing too weird happened for you guys.
