Summary of Receipt

Manager 4’s arm gets worse, as the Wicked Blight infects him. Unfortunately, the Wicked Blight feeds off magic, and the wound of Miss. Augustine’s is likely magical in nature. Manager 5 and Manager 6 have tried to keep it contained, but the only real option they have is to send Augustine back to Eden, cutting off the Wicked Blight’s source of magic, and then figure out how to handle the Blight.

Sadly, I have some troubling news. No. 4's wound hasn't been healing. Not only is it not healing, but it's also getting worse due to the Wicked's Blight. The Blight feeds off of magic, and while No. 4 usually makes a terrible host for the Blight, this wound must be magical. No. 5 and I have done our best to keep the Blight from taking hold of No. 4, but if this wound doesn't heal… well… we would need to look at some more gruesome alternatives. We don't have much time either. While No. 5 embraced his Blight long ago, No. 4's refusal to indulge it has also left him more susceptible to it. I'd say we have maybe two to three weeks before we'll need to consider amputation or worse.

Of course, we'd prefer to heal his wound first. If I had to guess, the only way it will heal is if he takes a sip of Miss. Augustine's drink or lets her disinfect it. Obviously, taking a sip of Miss. Augustine's special brew is off the table as that would do more than just fix No. 4's arm. No. 4 has expressed in no uncertain terms he'd rather die first. However, maybe splashing a bit of her brew on the cut might reverse the effects. Or, more likely, it might act as a mega-catalyst for the Blight. So, we can't really do that either.

Dover suspects that serving Miss. Augustine her Daiquiri might be the safest option. It won't heal No. 4's wound, but it should hopefully cut off the source of magic that the Blight is feeding on. Once the Blight is taken care of, we can do any number of magical things to heal his arm and reverse the physical damage. Or, you know, we could do regular medical stuff too. Regardless, we need to cut off this magic and fast.

Peace, Love, and Joy
