Slight problem—C.C., uh… I don’t know? She had some sort of night terror? I mean, I thought she was fully awake, or you know, as awake as she can be with how little sleep she’s been getting, but she snapped into some sort of trance-like terror, like a waking nightmare. She’s still, I don’t know, stuck? It’s like she can’t see or hear me, and I’m not entirely sure what to do. I called J.L., and she’s on her way. I don’t think this was related to the Jackalope, Duphon, or Chupacabra.

While I wait for J.L., I’ll write down what happened. So, first off, before the whole night-terror thing, it was a total success. C.C. and I spent around 2 or 3 hours slowly building up trust with the Jackalope, and eventually, it was more than happy to hang out in my arms, assuming I had a few treats to feed it, anyway. So, then we took the Jackalope over to the tree where the Duphon was camping out, and he had us place it inside a luminescent bubble. Then he flapped his wings, and a glowing portal opened up, and he took himself and the Chupacabra and Jackalope back into what I assume is the Otherside. Case closed!

But then, as C.C. and I were walking back to my car, the park’s sprinklers went off. And it was like once the water touched her, she totally froze up and started screaming and panicking. It was mostly illegible, but I’m pretty sure I heard her say something about horrors, needles, black tides, and sorrow. I’ve been trying to snap her out of it, but it’s like I’m not even there. I got her out of the sprinklers at least, and hopefully, J.L. will know what to do when she gets here.
