Summary of Receipt
Seth Warren was only able to find Damaris and Parthenia Langley in the Chronicles of the Dead (list of all the people in the Necropolis), so either something’s wrong with their search or literally two out of thirteen people died normally. Manager 6 also mentions what would happen if the Morbid King won the Shadow War. Likely, he’d turn all the dead people into Shadowfolk, or evict them to the Flipside. Since there are over 100 billion people in the Necropolis, that would be very, very bad.

It was so good to see Nikki again! I miss her a lot, but I know she chose this for herself, and I respect her decision. I suppose it’s good someone is keeping the Necropolis and the demons here safe from the Shadowfolk of the Everdark. It’s… unclear what would happen should the Morbid King actually take the Necropolis. There are currently two theories as to what he would do. The Morbid King would begin throwing the demons into the Everdark Pits, where they would surely become Shadowfolk themselves. Or he’d push all the demons out in the Flipside. Neither of those would be good outcomes for obvious reasons.
Seth was able to find two Langleys in the Chronicles of the Dead, Parthenia and Damaris Langley, but only those two. It doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t other Langleys here. The Chronicles don’t have a “search” feature, and it isn’t exactly alphabetical either. It’s chronological. So, there are about 300 years to check, and a year can have up to 50 million or more names. We could always ask around, but you have to imagine it’s hard to find anyone in a city of over 100 billion. There is also a chance they have died in the Shadow Wars, but it’s unlikely.
Hopefully, Parthenia and Damaris know where their other siblings are or maybe how they died so we can narrow them down to another plane. Nikki and I were able to perform a spell together to sort of “check” the whole of Necropolis though we could only feel the presence of two Langleys. It might be that our minds our tricking us… but I’m starting to believe Parthenia and Damaris might be the only ones here. Or there could be a very notable flaw in our spell, and we weren’t checking for non-Langley Langleys. Theodosia might have gotten married and taken a new name, less likely with Lazarus and Jethro, but I wouldn’t rule that out either.
