Summary of Receipt

611 reminds the CaD about Aka’s game. Basically, you summon him, and he asks you a question. If you answer it correctly, you ask him a question. If he doesn’t know, he becomes loyal to you until he knows the answer. Normally, this is an incredibly tough feat, except that in this case Aka just threw the game. So now Aka’s in 611’s service temporarily. Problem solved.

First, you gather a mirror, some red paint, a piece of paper, scissors, and 13 red candles. Put the candles in a circle with yourself in the center. Cut the paper into the shape of a doll with your name on one half and Rubeus Redman on the other. Draw two red eyes on the mirror. Turn off the lights, light the candles clockwise, stare into the mirror so that your eyes meet, and chant, “Rubeus Redman, please come, please come. I will not leave until you come.” When he shows up, he’ll ask you a question. If’n ya’ answer it correctly, you get to ask him a question. If he can’t answer, he’ll be at your side until he can find the answer.

A refresher, perhaps. Now I reckon no one is stupid enough to play his game unless you know he’ll ask something right easy, like “Who directed A Fistful of Dollars.” Then, in turn, you get to ask something he couldn’t possibly know, like, “What 8-digit number is in this lockbox?” Now, don’t assume if you ever get this far, you should waste your question on something like that. Sure, there ain’t no way he knows what number you have in a lock box, but a little metal box won’t stand in the way of a powerful Boogieman for long. Assumin’ he wants to know the answer, that is.

Yes sir, the Redman is now in my “employ” what have you. This lil’ partnership we have will only last as long as Redman and Mothman are workin’ against Satan, and it only exists to keep Redman contractually out of Satan’s grasp. Now, this ain’t just a legal loophole type deal. I do get the full benefits of Redman’s service and knowledge. A lotta it ain’t worth puttin’ in a receipt here and now. But, Redman has confirmed somethin’ quite important to me, Satan isn’t working directly off of Fate’s whispers, but “Umbra’s.” Redman doesn’t know who this fake Umbra is, but he knows it ain’t the real deal, having spent a couple hundred years pacted with him. But whoever it is sure does seem to be pullin’ at the strings of things.
