Summary of Receipt

Shoot—I'll take up the Redman on his offer. I'm more than capable of handling a demonic double cross. And I'm also not too important that if things were to go '72 on me, my absence would be a major blow to Cafe operations, what have you. Of course, you don't just go dancin' with boogiemen for the heck of it. I'll need some time to read up on Redman's specific terms to the letter. I'd also like to speak with this pleasant pair before agreein' to anything.

Though… we are on a bit of a deadline, I reckon. I suppose we'll need to get this business done within the week. From what I understand, The actual process of pacting with the Redman ain't too tricky. He asks me a question, I answer it, I ask him a question he can't answer, and there you have it, one boogieman in the service of li’l ol' me. Like I said, I'll have to go over the details myself and with Redman to ensure that this is a temporary partnership at best.

Though… if'n Mothman truly thinks Satan is planning to break out Eve and not the Devil, well, sir, that is a problem. A problem worth making friends outta friends. It also makes sense why he thinks he can break the Gate without the Keys to Hell—he ain't fixin' to break the Gates to Hell… just the Gates to Eden. Assumin' Mothman and Redman are right, of course. Though I am inclined to trust two of Satan's former closest allies on this matter.

That, and I've been eavesdroppin' on the Last Cafe's whispers. It certainly seems like "Umbra" has been lining things up to break Eve outta Eden. On the one hand, Eve is probably more survivable than the Devil. On the other hand, it's usually preferable to die in the explosion than live through the fallout.

In any case, I'll keep y'all updated -116
