Summary of Receipt

512 is concerned about Satan transubstantiating his blood in his services. Drinking Black Blood (demonic blood) can lead to a ‘collapse’ in which the body can’t handle the sheer amount of black blood in it, becoming a ‘demon’ until the body dies. Of course, with enough knowledge, a balance could be reached, like how 512 is a half-demon. 512 decides to ask Mrs. Tudor, one of the foremost black blood experts, on it. She also mentions that the private conversation from C-BMBM05 was an invitation to join Tudor’s cult, the Kings of Roses.

It’s still very concerning to me that Padre is transubstantiating his blood at his weekly sermons. Of course, I am deeply concerned with the outright blasphemous intent behind this, but more so, I’m worried about the regular tourists in his parish. Drinking demon blood is not good for you, I’d know. In fact, having any amount of demon blood in you is not a pleasant affair. The blood desperately wants to be back in the Otherside where it belongs. On the more benign side of things, it leads to a constant low level of interdimensional displacement sickness. Headaches, weakness, nausea, synesthesia, and general discomfort. On the more serious side of things, consistent consumption of demon blood can lead to a total collapse of sorts. A burst of uncontrollable power where the subject becomes more demon than human for as long as their body can hold out.

Of course… there is an equilibrium to this. With proper preparation and careful care, a human can become a half-demon of sorts, like me. How? No clue. I was kidnapped and unconscious for the entire process. Though I know it required Zulu levels of knowledge to pull off, and even then, I was in many ways considered a failure for what they were actually trying to accomplish. Do I think Satan is being very methodical in how he is filling his parish with his blood? Absolutely not. If I had to guess, he’s planning to bring them right up to the point of total collapse to use them as living weapons.

At least, that’s how most demons see half-demons. We’re tools and weapons. At least, that’s what Mrs. Tudor told me. She’s probably one of the most well-known practitioners of demonic blood magic. I mean, her name is a bit of a giveaway on that. Maybe she knows what Padre is planning? I mean, she does live in the Vile City after all, and I’m sure she’d be more than willing to speak with me again for a price. She wants me to join a cult of hers, the Kings of Roses, or something like that. Not that I’m particularly interested in joining a weird blood cult with eugenic undertones, but it can’t hurt to pay her a visit, right?
