After a bit of persuasion, we were able to nab the brothers' stones. Brings us to, what, nine now? Not bad—not bad at all. And to top it all off, we also got our grubby mitts on Mammon's Scepter. Though not all that glistens is gold, yeah? I'm starting to wonder if this thing is actually solid gold or just gold platted. Feels a bit too light to be gold if you ask me. Something isn't quite right with this trinket. And I'm entirely sure putting it in Raum's Roost is the best long-term plan. But a price is a price, and debt is a debt. Best to pay the crow off and let Mammon worry about where his artifacts end up, choice?

S.O.T.
No. 5: Oi, you two wouldn't happen to be Langleys, would you?
Lazarus: Whose asking?
No. 17: Ah, I suppose you would not know our organization, eh? We are the Cafe and Diner.
Jethro: So… you're what? Here to bring us coffee and breakfast?
No. 4: Not quite. It's a front. We don't actually serve coffee.
No. 6: Well, Long Island does.
No. 5: True.
No. 4: And we do tend to drink a lot of coffee.
No. 5: Valid point.
Lazarus: …Okay. Well, great chatting with you. But my brother and I are busy so-
No. III: Be not afraid. They are easily distracted. Do you both still have the [stones] that your eldest brother Solomon crafted for you?
Lazarus: Nope.
Jethro: We had stones?
Lazarus: What stones?
Jethro: Not anymore-
Lazarus: Really?
Jethro: Sorry. I thought we were on the same page.
No. 17: Boys, boys, we're working with Solomon. He needs your stones to stop your father.
Lazarus: Papa? What's going on with papa?
Jethro: And why would Solomon want to stop him?
No. 4: Long and confusing story. In a sense, your father is cutting down the Cimmerian Woods outside of the Necropolis, opening up your niece to an inevitable demise.
Lazarus: Niece?
Jethro: Demise?
No. 5: Eddard's kid. Well, one of them.
Jethro: Ned had kids? Ew.
Lazarus: So… what? We're just supposed to give you our [stones]? Nah. I don't think so.
No. 6: Uh. Well. Huh. We weren't expecting resistance to this. We've already gotten almost everyone else's stones…
Jethro: We had stones?
Lazarus: I think we're past that, buddy. Listen. We need our stones to break out of this mad house.
No. 5: How's that going?
Lazarus: Well… I know they have the power to get us out of here, but I can't figure it out. Solomon might've been great at his little magic tricks, but he was never great with instructions.
Jethro: Which is weird, considering he's a pressman.
No. 17: It is true. These stones hold immense power… when together. You're elven stones short of an escape.
No. 5: Nothing will come of nothing, choice?
No. 17: Nothing will- ah. And there is the solution to our problem! Both of our problems. We need to assemble the stones to stop your "papa," yes? So, I assume we can then use the stones to break both of your out of here while Lord Mammon is still in time out.
Lazarus: Maybe. But how can we trust you?
No. 17: You can't.
Lazarus: Alright, I'm in.
[Lazarus handed No. 17 his stone.]
Lazarus: Well?
Jethro: We had stones?
Lazarus: Jet.
Jethro: Sorry. Rule of threes. He 'ya go. But why are we trusting these clearly shady characters?
Lazarus: I trust when people tell me the truth. Especially when it makes them look worse. Plus, I think they're right. These stones don't do anything on their own.
Jethro: To be fair, most stones don't.
No. 6: We'll do our best to get you back to Damaris, Parthenia, and your niece!
Lazarus: Our niece is dead?
No. 5: I'd say it's more complicated than that.
No. 4: She's the queen of the Necropolis.
Lazarus: Oh.
Jethro: Well, good for her! That's some Langley ambition- wait. What happened to Asmodeus?
No. 5: Less complicated. She is dead.
Lazarus: Asmodeus? Dead? How does a Prince die?
No. 4: It's not easy. Though it's far from impossible.
