I was really hoping Haagenti wouldn’t try to take control of the remaining Kings. He’s not all bad, you know. I don’t know if anyone is. But especially Haagenti. He’s a very gentle soul. I would even go so far as to say we had become friends during our time together. Despite his massive bull-like form, he was very soft-spoken, always fixated on the study of Alchemy. I fear that my ambitions must’ve rubbed off on him. We met a few years ago, back when Bloody Mary was luring me into the Kings of Roses. Back then, Haagenti was a lower King, only a step above the newest initiates. I mentioned how much I loved his wings, and from there, our friendship blossomed.
He, along with Zagan, helped me overthrow Mary, exiling her to the, what are you guys calling it? The Black Thorn? Then when I was in power as the new King of Roses, I made Haagenti my Scarlet King and Zagan my Carmine King. From there, Zagan helped seize control of the Vile City, and Haagenti began plotting ways to overthrow the Mammonsoleum in the Infernus. Admittedly, the Princes being dead helped out a lot. Haagenti had a particular interest in the Mammonsoleum due to the abundance of refined Orichalcum and other precious rare metals. While turning iron to gold is an old hat for Haagenti, he still has yet to master the transmutation of Flipside metals into Otherside metals.
Anyway… I fear that he’s attempting a certain contingency plan we thought up. We were worried that either you guys or Division Ampersand would attempt to take me out, though, because I can’t die; I would have to be captured somehow. So, if I was captured, Haagenti would take full control over the Mammosoleum and use the demons trapped there as pawns, forcing them out into the Flipside to essentially explode in giant fireballs of liquefied metal until I was returned. It would be hell on the Flipside, coating multiple major cities in thick sheets of molten gold, copper, silver, and iron and tragic for the demons who had to be used as Alchemical conduits to make it happen.
