Dover and I made it to the Manoir des Veines Noires. It’s as awful as you’d expect it to be. So far, we’ve managed to avoid any direct confrontation with the Vampires. Though, it does feel like we are merely wandering around in the dark, waiting to be attacked. There’s no way the Black-Veins haven’t noticed our presence. Maybe they all left after the Morbid King was killed. Then again, I doubt it. They were never truly all that interested in the Morbid King’s war to reclaim the Necropolis, just interested in hurting Asmodeus in any way they could.

No obvious signs of the Sebitti either. We also have no idea what we’re looking for. The first Sebitti took the form of a typical eldritch creature—for what good the word “typical” does there. It was humanoid, at the very least. But the second Sebitti took the form of a golden harp-like creature. So this third Sebitti could be in the form of anyone or anything. Thankfully, Blackwood let me borrow her prototype of the next CaDCom device, which comes equipped with a portable Blood Signature reader.

The prototype of the CaDCom-Ω’s I.C.E. Machine is pretty limited. We have to directly touch a physical surface for it to get a reading, and it can only spit out a single dominant type. But, seeing as the Black-Vein Vampires are all undoubtedly type “A,” we just need to find an “E.” And then, from there, we should be able to follow the Blood trail to the Sebitti, at least, in theory. It might not work at all, considering the Sebitti would’ve had to touch a surface for this I.C.E. Machine to read it. Still, better than nothing.
