How do I keep getting roped into this mizè? Ah, well, it is a temporary pain. Not to mention, it is good to get out a bit, eh? One gets seasick stuck under the Columbia for so long. Or would it be more akin to cabin fever? I'm sure the Pathologist would know. Plus, our dear friend-turned-friend Dingane is joining us. The blackflies will be quite excited between the stench of death on me and her. At least, that's the Pathologist's latest theory. Either they'll love the zombie girl and rotting boy, or they will have a distinct disinterest which could work to our advantage.

Still, we're going to be doing our best to keep the blackflies at bay. We've made quite the redolent paste of cinnamon, lavender, peppermint, and tarragon, among some other less familiar ingredients. As long as I keep this concoction smoking, we should be able to move about freely in the Buzzing Plains. Well, as free as one can move in an infested nightmare. While the typical advice of stepping or swatting any encroaching bug is usually sound, we must be careful not to unnecessarily harm any insects. The Pathologist claims that they are reasonably docile until provoked.

As for where in the Buzzing Plains we are headed, the Sun of Babylon apparently pointed to a baobab tree. I suspect the Sebitti is inside the tree or perhaps buried underneath it. Digging in the Buzzing Plains might prove rather dangerous, but if it is true that Dingane's unique composition is of no interest to the bugs, we might be fine after all. Plus, unlike in the dark of the Necropolis, we can actually use the Sun of Babylon to guide us straight to this Sebitti without a problem.
